Sif ilohasi
Sif — Skandinav mifalogiyasiga koʻra Thorning xotini sifatida qabul qilingan[1].
Ayni paytda Aesir ilohlaridan biri sanaladi[2]. Sif tuproq (hosildorlik) ilohasi sifatida mashhur. Ko’zlarni qamashtiruvchi uzun va oltin sochli go’zal ayol sifatida ta’riflanadi.
Loki Sifning Thor bilan birga bo’lganidan jahli chiqib, bir tunda uning sochlarini yoqib yuborgani rivoyat qilinadi (baʼzi manbalarda kesib tashlangani aytiladi). Lokining bunday ish qilganini bilib qolgan Thor qattiq gʻazablanadi. Loki esa Thordan qo’rqqani uchun gnomlardan yordam so’raydi. Gnomlar Lokining kechirilishi uchun Sifga har bir tolasi oltindan bo’lgan uzun va go’zal soch tayyorlab berishadi. Shundan so’ng Sif bu oltin sochlari bilan mashhur boʻlgan. Oltin sochlari ko’proq bug’doyga o’xshatiladi. Shu sababli Sifga barakat va hosildorlik ilohasi sifatida qaraladi[3].
